Marta wrote this great post about the first concert she ever attended and her subsequent love of live performances. I was inspired enough to try and recall all the live concerts I’ve been to.
I can’t recall the exact order, and I’m sure there are some that I’ve left out, but, to the best of my recollection I have seen all the following performers live in concert (this is going back to the late 80s):
The Rolling Stones
Living Colour
Motley Crue
Skid Row
KISS (My favorite band from childhood)
Poison
Billy Joel
Whitesnake
Slaughter
Ugly Kid Joe
Saigon Kick
Billy Idol
INXS
The Cure *
Coldplay
Foo Fighters
Lenny Kravitz
Suicidal Tendencies
Jane’s Addiction
Lit
Butch Walker
Linkin Park
POD
Hoobastank
Lost Prophets
Marc Anthony
Angels & Airwaves *
Panic at the Disco *
Motion City Soundtrack
New Found Glory *
Good Charlotte
Gym Class Heroes
The Academy Is
Jimmie’s Chicken Shack
I know there are a lot more but I can’t remember them just now. I really love seeing live music performances, but as opposed to the jam-packed, standing room only, floor seats I used to covet in my teens and twenties, I now prefer smaller venues with bars and seating. (The years. They catch up to you.)
* = Indicates bands I have seen on multiple occasions.
